The form book can be tossed away! The Merseyside Derby has a life and meaning that is all its own and as a man who spends a lot of time in Liverpool. I know how desperate both sets of supporters will be to own the bragging rights.
In fairness to both clubs, they have held their league campaigns together nicely in difficult circumstances and Everton in particular are on a real roll. The Blues have won four from their last five and are clawing their way up the table thanks to their superb work ethic and endeavour, both hallmarks of David Moyse. With no Fernando Torres to provide the finishing touches I can't back Liverpool in what is going to be a fierce encounter. The tackles will be flying in and don't be shocked if neither team finishes with their full compliment. Based on the "Daq" prices I'm a layer of the Reds at 1.98.
I'm going with Burnley at Draw no bet on the Asian Handicap against West Ham. I liked the way Brian Laws' men went at Chelsea last Saturday with a real passion. It's clear that Burnley are pooling all of their resources into winning their home games against sides in a similar predicament and West ham fit that bill exactly. The Hammers are struggling for goals and the environment at Turf Moor won't be fun for the majority of Gianfranco Zola's squad. With only two defeats at home all season it's difficult for me to see Burnley losing and they have the extra incentive of going above West Ham with a victory. 1.94 dnb looks ideal.
I'm not convinced about Blackburn Rovers. That said, Big Sam Allardyce is as shrewd as they come and they are in no danger of the drop, however, away trips to the likes of Stoke aren't likely to yield many points for his average side. The Brittannia Stadium has officially become a fortress and nobody enjoys the kind of hospitality that the Potters serve up. Tony Pulis' team may not produce the kind of football that is everyones cup of tea but it continues to be extremely effective. Rovers don't score away from Ewood Park and a point will be a tremendous result for the blue and whites. Lay Blackurn at the current 3.5 on Betdaq.
See you all in midweek for a preview of the fantastic action on the "Daq"
